We froze precious moments to capture action portraits.
In studio, when we record videos, we do at 1/24th of second per frame. We take still pictures at a speed of 1/125th of a second. These action portraits we taken at a speed of 1/4000th of a second. That is, breaking one second into 4000 fractions, using only one fraction out of the 4000 to take a picture.
In studio, we use a sensitivity of 64 ISO. In these shots, we set it to 6400 to compensate for the inadequacy of school gyms lighting for sports photography. The higher the value, the more the noise and degradation a photo suffers.
